ᴇNᴀBʟS Took an Important Role in the 2^nd NBS Education Summit

Having participated in the augural NBS Education Summit last year, ᴇNᴀBʟS returned for the 2^nd summit as a core contributor. Organised by NBS EduWORLD, with important contributions from ᴇNᴀBʟS, COOLSCHOOLS, and NBS Academy, this high-level event focused on advancing Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in education by highlighting policy recommendations and best practices for just transitions.

Held online on 27^th March 2025, the event offered a valuable platform for educators, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss how policy can shape equitable transitions in NBS education.

Key insights from the four projects were presented, followed by an interactive policy learning workshop designed to link NBS expertise to local action. Attendees had the chance to engage with experts, explore real-life case studies of successful implementations, and participate in hands-on discussions to test innovative policy solutions.

As part of the event, the ᴇNᴀBʟS project coordinator shared key findings from the project’s first-year activities, specifically the mapping of awareness, perceptions, and education on biodiversity and NBS across Europe. This presentation provided a unique opportunity to reflect on lessons learnt and exchange ideas with participants.
